Cyfanfyd has recently launched a project targeting the BME and Faith sector in Wales.

southern voices workshopIt aims to raise the capacity of BME and faith sector to deliver ‘Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship’ (ESDGC) in their local communities.  Furthermore, it aims to work in partnership, build links and enrich existing delivery by incorporating black, southern and faith perspectives into ‘mainstream’ ESDGC work. It is hoped that this project will be instrumental in promoting a cohesive ESDGC network for the new decade.

ESGDC aims to cover 9 key concepts and 7 Themes

Two roundtable events have taken place in Cardiff where organisations came together to explore ways that their work could benefit from developing a global perspective and trainers have already begun to benefit from a bursary scheme that is available as part of the project to support attendance at Cyfanfyd’s ESDGC training courses.

If you are interested in knowing more about the project, future training or (alternatively) would like to join the Southern Voices Database, please contact Hanna on hanna@cyfanfyd.org.uk
