The Global Youth Work project has recently run
two networking events; a two-day residential in Manobier, and a
one-day event in Conwy. Both were a fantastic success, showcasing
examples of good practice, sharing information about (ESDGC) in
youth work in Wales and providing networking and partnership opportunities.

more info about these events download a copy of the event report,
which contains a detailed summary of case studies, presentations,
activities and methods used; click on the following links:

The second Cardiff Global Youth Work/ ESDGC forum
meeting is planned for the 29th April at 2pm at Butetown Communities
First Office in Dumbells Rd, Butetown. The meetings have been set
up to provide a source of peer support to youth workers who are
engaged in ESDGC or would like to begin embedding it into their
work. The group will also be looking at ESDGC and Global Youth Work
in Cardiff as a whole and how it could be increased.
It is open to anyone working with young people. If you would like
more information either contact Nia Adamson at Nadamson@cardiff.gov.uk
or Gemma Bartlett at gemma@cyfanfyd.org.uk
Cyfanfyd recently ran a one-day course “Exploring
and Understanding Education for Sustainable Development and Global
Citizenship (ESDGC). It was an introductory course providing an
overall picture of ESDGC, what it is about and how to incorporate
it into practitioners work.
Participants were given opportunities to explore
some of the concepts and issues involved in ESDGC and were able
to experiment with various techniques and resources that support
it. ( Add photo Swansea 169 to this paragraph)
We currently looking into running this training again; if you are
interested in attending please contact Annette on annette@cyfanfyd.org.uk
