DFID Development Awareness Fund Mini-Grants Programme 2010-11 Project Funding Opportunities for ESDGC in Wales

The Department for International Development (DFID) provides support for the activities of organisations working in development awareness through this funding programme, which is managed in Wales by Cyfanfyd.

Development Awareness, or Development Education, is very similar in many aspects to Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship and organisations working in this field in Wales may wish to submit project proposals.

To be eligible for funding, projects must be able to demonstrate how they will contribute to DFID’s development education and awareness aims. The programme has funded a wide range of activities in the past and particularly welcomes innovative projects that target new audiences. Projects must, however, have a global perspective or raise awareness of international development.

Projects can be of one, two or three year’s duration. Grants will be for a minimum of £1000 and a maximum of £10,000 per year. Guidelines for this funding programme are now available on the DFID Website

Completed applications must be returned by Friday October 30th 2009
