About Cyfanfyd
Cyfanfyd is the development education association for Wales. The organisation was formed in 1996 to support and promote the work of those bringing a better understanding of global and development issues to Wales.
Cyfanfyd provides an information and support base to our members and lobbies government bodies in Wales to recognise the importance of global citizenship education.
Cyfanfyd membership is available to all organisations and individuals interested in global citizenship education.
We currently have around 100 members ranging from large national charities such as Oxfam Cymru and Christian Aid to invidual supporters, community-based groups, schools and local authorities.
All Cyfanfyd members receive:
- Access to the Cyfanfyd e-mail network keeping you updated with the latest information in global citizenship education in Wales;
- Monthly issues of the Cyfanfyd E-bulletin, containing features on development education stories from around Wales;
- Discounted rates on all Cyfanfyd training events including sector specific training in global youth work, formal sector and lifelong learning and generic training in fundraising and lobbying;
- Advice about the latest global citizenship resources to use in schools and other learning environments;
- Access to Cyfanfyd networking events to facilitate communication between likeminded organisations in Wales.
